Part 5: Adding Your Logo to the Facebook Tab

I have uploaded 2 pictures to Flickr.com. I suggest you create and load your logo to Flickr.com. Please make sure it is 520 pixels or smaller. Facebook is in the process of making changes to it's application. We will create a secure https link to the logo on Flickr.com from the Facebook.com Page.

If you do not have a Flickr.com account, please create one for your logo. Please then upload a logo that is 520 pixels or less. When you are ready, and you have uploaded your logo; follow the steps below:

  1. Locate your photo on Flickr.com. Click on "You". You should see a thumbnail image of it.
  2. Click on photo so it is selected. The image will enlarge when it is selected.
  3. Click on the "Share"  button
  4. Click on the blue "Grab the HTML/BBCode" link

You only want part of code in the "Grab the HTML/BBCode" box. Flickr.com only allows you to grab all the code. Here is what I suggest.

  1. Click on the code and copy it to a text editor like Microsoft Word or Notepad.
  2. Highlight and copy the http part with the file name
  3. Replace the http part that already exists in the "Leave A Tip' application box with your new information.

Now it's time to go back to the Facebook HTML code and the code there. We are going to replace it with the new code. We will highlight the old code and paste the new code from Flickr.com right onto it.

Remember that you are only replacing the http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4082/4850651744_9da79ca424_m.jpg link with your new logo link.

Once you have pasted the new code onto the old, click on "Save and view changes" button at top right. You will now see how the application will look to others.
