Cleaning Your Computer Hard Drive
Over time, and use, your computer will store up temporary downloaded files, temporary Internet files and such on its hard drive. To put it simply, useless files are going to take up valuable real-estate on your computer hard drive. These files will eventually help slow down your computer.
Keeping your computer free of unnecessary files is key to helping make sure your computer runs at its best. You have to clean your computer regularly to keep it working at its best. These unnecessary files will keep on piling up unless you remove them off of your computer hard drive.
Your Microsoft Operating System contains a program called Disk Cleanup. This small program will help remove the above type files and such that are taking up valuable real-estate on your hard drive. You can find Disk Cleanup by clicking on the Start button, selecting All Programs, Accessories, System Tools and Disk Cleanup. It is fairly simple to run this program.
Another clean up tool that I use is CCleaner. I just use the cleanup section of this small program and I find it a useful addition to my computer maintenance toolbox. I down loaded it from www.download.com . You can also get this link on my Industry Links web page.

Once you open up this program, you make sure that the Cleaner Icon is selected on the left side of the program window. Then you will select the Analyze button next. After this, you select Run Cleaner. You will be asked to confirm this action and then the cleaning will begin.
Remember: your computer needs your help to stay free of unnecessary files and downloads. Give it the help it needs to run at its best.
