About Jeff Brown of Alpha Computer Training
I am the owner and trainer of Alpha Computer Training and Consulting. Alpha Computer has been in business since March 2007. In 2008, Alpha Computer was named as a top ten start up business in Nova Scotia. In 2009, Alpha Computer was named as a finalist for the RBC Small Business of the Year Award in Truro, Nova Scotia.
I have delivered multiple “Workplace Education Programs” in Nova Scotia for the Provincial Government. I was one of the keynote speakers at the 2010 World Crime Stoppers Training Conference. My “Social Media” workshops and several “Lunch and Learns” sessions focusing on social media, web site marketing and other technology topics are highly sought after and have filled his schedule because of positive word of mouth advertising and his proficiency in the topic. I have taught computer skills from the basics to the complex to both Provincial and Federal Government employees as well as to profit and not for profit businesses.
In 2010, I became the first person the the world to enable the Crime Stoppers organization to incorporate their "Leave A Tip" process on Facebook. I just recently received an Achievement Award from Crime Stoppers. In 2009, I worked on the Halifax Canadian Association of Professional Speakers Board as the Communications and Marketing Chair. I was responsible for developing and updating both the Halifax CAPS Twitter page and the Halifax CAPS Facebook Fan page.
I am the webmaster for the www.alphacomputer.ca web site as well as many Facebook Pages for businesses. I am also a monthly contributor for the Truro & District Chamber of Commerce magazine. Magazine articles focus on how technology affects business.
